Presenting the Class of 2012 Georgetown University Department of Performing Arts’ senior theater thesis performance projects is The Bi(g) Life: Two Solo Performances, which combines the shows Ambiguous and Infatuation—by Jeremy Guyton and Allie Villarreal, exploring bisexuality and fat identity, respectively—into one night of exciting experimental theatre. The artwork was created as both plays were developed, allowing certain images and motifs that are part of either play to be incorporated into the illustration as well. As both shows deal with the fluidity of identity (and, in a way, of the permeability of categories and boundaries as well), watercolor was chosen as the material for the artwork, for both conceptual consistency as well as textural diversity.
