Local Bostonian Martin J. “Marty” Walsh ran against Boston City Councillor John R. Connolly for the city’s mayoral seat, following the late Thomas M. Menino‘s decision to retire. Walsh won the election with 51.5% of the vote. The campaign brought on Bully Pulpit Interactive as its main digital agency. Together we focused on specific voter targeting and messaging as well as maintaining (and reinforcing) the local and grassroots flavor of the campaign. The majority of my work as a designer was in developing cross-platform digital ads and social graphics that were to be shared on the campaign’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
